Some of the best things in my life have happened to me because of the internet. I have discovered a really interesting sector to work in, I have met some truly wonderful people to live with and I’ve had way too much fun. It’s these real world experiences that fascinate me. When I hear people say that the internet is no substitute for getting out there and living I absolutely agree with them. As a self confessed addict, I know that there’s a fine line between being productive online and just wasting your life. For this reason it’s important to harness how the web can impact your real world experience in positive ways and realise that as soon as it goes beyond that, it’s time to log off and go outside.
This blog is all about the way that the internet widens the real world in productive ways – and maybe some not so productive ones too. As the focus is on the real world, I will try to make it as beautiful (or not) as possible.
